Pastor Travis Jonas
Since 1996, I have been serving in a volunteer or bi-vocational role in student ministry and now the pastorate. In 1998, Rebekah and I met and married. Our daughter was born in 2004 and our son soon followed in 2006. We moved around with different careers from San Angelo to Brownwood, to Iowa Park, and now back home to Jacksboro, where I was born. In 2006, we began building our home here and found that we belonged at Live Oak. After serving in the student ministry here at Live Oak, I felt called to begin preaching. In 2021, we stepped out in faith and began supplying for churches without a pastor or just filling in when pastors were on vacation. Though we traveled from church to church, we knew that God was not done with us here at Live Oak. We are grateful that God opened the door for us to serve our church family we love as well as the community that we are blessed to live in. We invite you to come and be a part of a church family who 'Loves God, Loves People, and Wants to Advance the Kingdom'!

He received his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University. Landon enjoys leading The Church into Christ-centered worship through song.
Charlotte Haston - Ministry Assistant
I became a member of Live Oak Baptist Church in 1991, shortly after marrying Alton, a long-standing member of LOBC. After 16 years of running a daycare from home and a brief period as the Executive Director of the Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce, I was blessed by God with the chance to serve as the Ministry Assistant at Live Oak, following in the footsteps of my dear friend, Margie Hamby. It brings me immense joy to serve God and my church alongside our wonderful staff. Alton and I have raised three sons and one daughter, supported by our loving church family. In my leisure time, I cherish every moment spent as a "Grammy" to my 13 beautiful grandchildren. I also actively engage in the community through my involvement with the Lions Club, Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce, Rolling Plains Management, STOMP, and the Jacksboro Pregnancy Resource Center. If you’re in search of a church home, we invite you to come and see what Live Oak has to offer! It’s truly an amazing family to be a part of!
